The starting point on the Pazin - Gračišće trail is the office of the Tourist Board of Central Istria in Pazin, which you will find if you descend about a hundred meters below the church of St. Nicholas, built in the 13th century. The path takes you east through the center of Pazin, through its central square and promenade, whose shade from the summer heat has always provided salvation to the citizens of Pazin. When you reach the bus station, continue along the main road that leads to Cerovlje. After 2.3 kilometers, the road forks and you turn off the main road onto secondary asphalt and macadam roads that pass through the place of Bežići and Ivoli and lead all the way to Šestani. When you leave Šestani behind, you will turn onto a marked hiking trail that leads over the top of Big Nest. Enjoying the nature that surrounds you, you reach the gravel road that leads to Veliki Škljonki, from where you can enjoy beautiful views of Učka and the surrounding fields.

 

When you pass Veliki Škljonki, you will continue your journey on an asphalt surface, which will follow you all the way to the finish line in Gračišće. The trail is largely covered with asphalt and solid macadam, which makes it an ideal choice for running and walking during the winter rainy months when there is a lot of water and mud.
