Trail The path of Water (720)

+ 1

"The Path of Water" iscircular hiking trail, with a total length of 11.2 km.

The name of the trail comes from the connection of interesting water points within the Municipality of Sveti Lovreč. The starting point is in the very center of Sveti Lovreč, specifically at the restored town fountain, located near the so-called Velika Vrata (Great Gate). From there, the trail leads across Placa Square, heading north toward the medieval Funtanela Tower, named as such because it stands above a spring. The spring water is collected in a cistern built directly above it.

The path then continues northeast toward the village of Pajari, following an asphalt road toward Heraki. However, just before reaching Heraki, it turns right off the main road onto a narrow forest trail leading to the first point of interest—a spring called Rulja.

Returning along the same path to the main road, the trail continues through the villages of Lakovići and Orbani. In Orbani, following the pedestrian signs, the trail leaves the asphalt road and descends onto a narrow gravel path leading to the Purinka spring. The route is accompanied by various water features, such as ponds and pools.

From there, the trail continues along a forest path toward the village of Vošteni. Crossing the main road (Mofardini - Sv. Lovreč), it reaches the next point of interest, the Puč spring in Vošteni, which is the most well-known natural water site in the Municipality of Sveti Lovreč.

The path then continues along narrow roads through the village, heading southwest, leading to another pond before continuing along a wide gravel road toward the village of Perini. The most challenging part of the trail is between leaving Perini and entering the eastern part of Sveti Lovreč, as it requires good orientation skills to follow the pedestrian markings.

Finally, the trail reaches the main road again, where it turns right and leads back to the center of Sveti Lovreč, ending at the town fountain.
