Trail description

 

The trail starts in Lupoglav, in front of the Municipality building. We cross the road and descend towards the railway station, continue along the railway in the direction of Buzet (about 300 m) to the paved road where we turn right to the village of Pristava. In the village, we turn right between the houses, at the top there are stairs that lead us up towards Semići.

After arrival on the plateau, we cross the paved road and continue straight along the dirt road, and in 500 m we reach the asphalt where we turn right towards the hamlet of Beletići and follow the paved road, 200 m further we turn left onto the macadam road.

After approximately 1 km of ascent, we come to the turn to the right for the viewpoint towards Lupoglav. The viewpoint is decorated with benches and offers a view towards Učka and Lupoglav, it is located on the third kilometer of the trail. After the viewpoint, we return to the macadam road and turn right and continue the climb until we turn left onto the forest road. Behind the second serpentines there is another viewpoint (4.2 km from the start of the trail) with a view of Semić.

We continue along the forest path and after 2.2 km we come to the macadam where we keep to the right. On this part, we cross half of the trail and are at a total of 6.4 km. We follow the macadam and in 600 m we turn right, from where we can see the views of Učka, Mali and Veliki Planik. Enjoying the views after 800 m, we turn right with dirt roads to the hiking trail.

In 800 m we come to a crossroads where we continue straight along the hiking trail towards the village of Gorenja Vas, and after 1.2 km of descent, on the right side are the remains of the Mahrenfels castle, from which there is a view towards Lupoglav. We continue the descent and come to the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the church we turn right and go down the paved road towards Lupoglav, passing by the abandoned Brigido castle on the way.
